My computer power cord is dead. Wires poking out of it all over the place. No power cord, no charge. No charge, no computer. How boring. How I feel like I have had my arm (or some other important appendage) cut off. I've been reading what I can of blogs on my phone but it's not the same. I caught up on a few blogs yesterday but I was at work and supposed to be working, not getting paid to read blogs (could you imagine how awesome that would be as a job?!). I hate working.
Three weeks in and uni is already causing headaches and internal turmoil. How am I going to get it all done and get it done good? How could I have left year-long projects to the last three or so months? What was I thinking? Procrastination is the work of the devil.
Because I must obviously be a slave to the devil, can you please tell me some blogs that really pop your cork? Ones that get you all excited when you see a new post. One whose words you devour and savour. I need some new blogs to add to my list. I mean, if you guys had the posts being consistently pumped out, then I would be happy. But I suppose you've all got lives or some shit because I find myself compulsively, obsessively, refreshing my screen to see if you've posted a new blog. So, like a junkie, I need more. More. Moar.
Spill it. Tell me. Shine some light on the blogs you love.

Ha ha, I do that too! Glad I'm not the only compulsive refresher. I enjoy:

Good luck! Can;t wait to see what everyone else suggests! xxx
I find that leaving things to the last minute is a much more effective work method. If I plan stuff I only panic when I don't get it done.
ReplyDeleteALL the blogs in my 'blogs I love' bit are ace!
I get in a rut sometimes too with blog-reading. I like to look at other people's blog lists (its helpful when blogs I like put a little sidebar of links).
ReplyDeleteFrom my sidebar that I think you'll like: http://idathue.blogspot.com/

Hope these help! :)
Blogging has seemed a little slow on all fronts lately. I guess it just happens from time to time. I've been spending all my time on Pinterest. It's pretty ridiculous. I could get so much more done if I wasn't so easily amused.
ReplyDeleteI've also been needing some new blogs on my Reader as lately I feel that some of the ones I've been reading I've outgrown or I don't have a broad enough range. SO I don't really have a whole heap to recommend I'm afraid!
ReplyDeleteI'm always procrastinating, it's terrible. I'll say to myself 'ok, today is going to be different!' which of course becomes 'fine, *tomorrow* will be different!'
Boring practical tip from someone who works in a university. Plan actual downtime. It cuts down on the guilt part of the equation. So one evening you work (and actually work) and another you just kick back with a beverage of your choice and read bogs, or see friends or curl up with a good book.
ReplyDeleteI read too many awesome blogs to list and need to update my own lists to reflect this. At the moment though reading through the tomboy style archives is one of my favourite ways to while away a few hours.
i love all the blogs on my side bar, but am looking for a few new ones to add as well. i know the feeling.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm not in your age group so I jib a bit at making recommendations but somehow Carma at 'carmasez.com' often gets me thinking, despite her flippant and succinct approach to subjects. Somehow I click with her way of questioning and looking at the world.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've noticed bloggerama going very quiet lately. What is that?
Oh I remember that feeling. Take some deep breathes and remember you've done it before and you will do it again. I must've sensed your need for pretty thing blogs, I just posted a couple recently. They are of the French flavor, but, they do have plenty of pretty things to look at. I have found it completely inspiring!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the comp issue and uni! It'll get better soon!
This is a great question and I'm totally going to stalk everyone else's blogs to find some new reads!
