My cousin is getting married today to a girl who could not be more suited to him. Individually, they are some of my favourite people, but together they are brilliant.

They’re getting married in the chapel of a school that has the most expensive fees in Australia and will be followed by a reception at a historical mansion. Because of that, I’m going all out. Also because why not?

The red silk dress that cost me two weeks’ full-time wages (that I have only worn once in five years. In public anyway. Plenty of times when I’ve been home alone):

I’m having my hair and make-up done as well. I mean, I can slap on some foundation as well as the next girl but when it comes to eyes, I’m stumped. Contouring? Blending? What the? So I’m getting it done for me - and using this as my hair inspiration.

I mean, when else do you get a chance to dress up like this on a Thursday?
